Went out this evening in my Freelander 2, I managed to pull the rear view mirror off its mount whilst trying to adjust it. I pulled over into a layby and tried to fit the mirror back on but after some fumbling with a torch trying to locate the correct position I still couldnt get the mirror to stay fixed.
I did return home shortly afterwards with my wife holding the rear view mirror in position.
I tried again to then re-attach the mirror back on its fixing again without success. The mirror appears to have three clips/prongs with I assume fits onto the nut on the windscreen ( two photos attached ). I was reluctant the push or tap the mirror too hard against the screen nut. Will try again in the morning during daylight hours.
Just wondering if there is a knack to refitting the mirror or if someone could offer some tips
