Freelander 1 rear diff / axle noise

on my freelander ive recently had one of the rear diff mounts changed but now since this has been done I'm getting a creeking noise which appears to be coming from the rear diff/ axle.. anybody else had this or is it a sign of somet ceasing up?

Depends which diff mount was changed. If it was the front rear, then it could just be the rubber bedding in, or the diff has been knocked and is settling back down.
Could be you can now hear the suspension creaking now the diff is quieter.
It could be loads of things. Run it about for a week and see if it stops.

Possibly the vcu bearings now diff is more aligned

If the VCU is knackered it might be everything at the back complaining. The old support would have allowed more flexing.

I had this problem, after changing the knackered front diff mount I found the vcu bearings were sagging in their bushes.
