Hi All,
Having purchased a total pup some time back and managing to unload, Im just about to dip me toe into the water again !!!, looking for a 2.5 DSE auto, prob 96/97 ish, any info and what I should be looking out for would be seriouslt appreciated, just been offered a real clean "P" reg but its covered 219k with loads FSH, again any input very seriously appreciated.
(last range had been seriously messed with, had no power and would pull the skin of a rice pud !!, had the thermostat back cut out to stop it overheating and the heater matrix by-passed very cleverly so it could'nt be seen.............so just being a fraction more cautious this time).
Thanks all
Paul.

if you buy a range rover go for an auto because the manuals clunk and whine like they have come out of a tractor also check if the auto box gose up al the gears because some hot start mods do cause then to stick in 3rd gear i had that problem and the diesels have the common hot start problem which is easly overcome

me personally would not touch an auto, check everything works,i went basic less to go wrong, no aircon,no hevac,no cruise control, just about came with seats and a steering wheel lol, but i made sure the diesel lump was ok,
make sure it starts from hot and cold, hot without the hot start kit(glow plug light comes on when it is warm) try to find the best you can for your money, there are many out there,so sieve through very carefully.
would not recommend ebay, but you never know.
if you buy from a dealer then you will pay dealer prices.
