Pulsing motor at 2500rpm -'99Di freelander

Hi,

Another newbie with a Freelander Di ('99) spending a fair bit of time on Landyzone just before the new year starts!!!

Picked up my Freelander a week ago and have done over 1000 kms. All sort of driving including some mild dirt and water. Have found that the there seems to be a pulsing noise at around 2500 rpms. Also, should there be a noticeable turbo cut-in at a particular rpm? Ended up with about 8.1 litres per 100km..

Any help would be appreciated...

BTW is Green-oval still open? Only get a blank page. Downloaded a rave elsewhere but seems to have everything except the L series deisel.

Ah well 10,000km still have the noise - only problem now is that the starter seems to have gone ( loud click but not turning over). It's a bugger to remove to have a better look. Finally bit the bullet and bought a manual from fleabay. Hope it's got the info I'm looking for ( i.e. this particular model)...
