Yeah white spirit and a heat gun and it's straight off. That fcuking body mount!!! :D:D:D:D totally knackered. I thought your quarters would be worse. Was there any at the top of the door post/under alpine window where it went on Mine?

Next to the National flag is the Dinitrol sticker from the days when this was a much loved motor, the quarters were quite thick with a covering of Dinitrol and it took quite a bit of elbow grease with the white spirit to get it off but it certainly would have benefited from regular re-applications over the years and I will be keen to get on it every year from here on out once all the work has been done.

I'm in two minds after reviewing the piccies now, should I rip that sill out and slot some box section it there while it is all apart?

Does look like I'm going to have to repair that B post bottom so I could quite easily do it all at the same time

The froggats mount kit pairs up to the box nicely. I had to extend the box with sheet panels as I didn't want to replace the whole lot. Did do a clean repair though. If you have to do the pillar bottom too it would make sense!

Well that's me £300 lighter

2 lengths of box section

4 body mounts

4 body bushing kits

Was gonna just make that one mount out of plate but as I'm going to replace the whole lot with box I thought I might as well make the whole job a lot faster.

Should have it wrapped up next weekend I think.

oooo bling :)

Having probs with Buzzweld RCP.

Yu getting the floor support panels and brackets?

Not using RCP after our convo Friday, thought to myself that I simply don't have the patience for the trouble you go to in order to get some paint on your parts, I bought a bottle of stuff called "Aqua Steel" it was designed for use on oil rigs and marine purposes, it does the same as the RCP in converting the rust and leaves a cured coating ready for over painting, still going to use the epoxy mastic from Bilt Hamber and then the corrolless black.

I've rubbed back the surface rust and broke the paint back over the rust bubbling and painted it with the Aqua Steel but haven't gotten any further, still gotta paint on the mastic but it can wait until I've done the welding.
