P38 dse battery ?

Hello everybody ....
Only a quick ? What's the best and biggest battery I can fit on my 1999 p38 dse the winter has killed the 1 fitted and now the cold weather has come back the battery is giving up .

Datatek reccommends a 130A/135A (can't remember which) 1000CCA Battery....(from memory - do a search he has mentioned it loads)

This I believe can be found fgrom BatteryMegastore....

Either PM Datatek for specifics, or when he pops along he will pick this thread up and reply....

Hi, the one everyone recommends is the Alphaline 1000ah 130 battery at around 100 quid delivered from battery megastore. i have fitted one just before xmas and it has solved a load of problems for me and the car now starts first time no matter how long it sits .

And don't forget to connect a slave battery to your car before you remove the original, unless you want to put in the key lock out code and radio codes (bitter personal experience!)

Never had to do that on my diesel, just re-set the windows and do the radio code.
The battery is Alphaline C31-1000 it's 135AH 1000CCA from Battery Megastore and it's the biggest you can get in the box, the lid is a tight fit!

Just make sure she ain't superlocked when you disconnect.

GREAT......... New battery on ...... Keycode lockout on dash so I thought no prob it's happened before and I sorted it ..... But not this time the eka does not seem to work ??????? I have been looking on here for for answers and have tryed waiting for 30 mins and try it again but didn't work . I've read so much on here from different people my head is going to go bang some if I don't get this sorted.... Please help!!!!!!

PM Mozz Smith, he professes to have a full proof plan of getting into these things....

Sorted !!!!! Thanks to mozz smith top man ..... After trying to sort this all weekend one call to the man and sorted it turned out to be rf receiver messing around took the blue wire off and tryed the code again started first time . Thanks again mozz ......

Will this battery be better than the one type i bought from Halfords?
The one that has been changed each year for the last three years.... Lol

Only time will tell but it looks like its the biggest cca and ah battery you can fit in and it fits in well £99 with 4 years cover can't be bad and what info I found is people use them in jump start packs so plenty of power

I've had the Alphaline battery on for a while now and touch wood no problems Motor spins like a food processor compared to the lazy heave over with the old battery

don't want to start another p38 battery thread ,

but does any one know if the recommended above Alphaline C31-1000 it's 135AH 1000CCA,

will fit my p38 4.6?
