Having trouble getting new injector washers from my local 4x4 dealer, one washer is stuck in the old head and is not going to come out nicely, I removed one from another injector and it was really tough to get it off it seems to be diamond profile now, managed to find an independent injector company today unfortunately the tech is on holiday but the nearest washers we could find fit perfectly but are dished, I presume they will crush to suit both sealing faces when torqued up, anyone know if they are supposed to be dished?

Last ones i fitted were flat. If they are slightly dished fit the convex to the injector and concave to mate with head. Copaslip on injector threads. Nip down to flatten then back off and torque to 48 lb ft.

Halfrauds do a box with a variety of copper washers of differing size. Bought one last year to sort out some leaks on a vectra v6 diesel, think it was only about 8 quid.

To OP - I would advise new washers, horologist or not.
Which one is that, pull it up lets have a look my memory of it has faded.
Bet you remember the clock guy though :D:p:D
Not seen the turbo pressure one since I've been a member. It's v.old one, I will find it for you ;)

A youngster is trying to turn his p38 D into a sports car. You persist to answer his question as precisely as possible, but he's just talking nonsense with no intention of carrying the work out. God it made me laugh!:)

Your patience is 2nd to none ;):D

He adjusted the waste-gate?

@Clock guy not been on here since. It's shame as he did try bless him but skin not thick enough.

I learnt 3 important things from that thread :

1) a degree in astrophysics or beauty therapy does not qualify you as an injector specialist - that's why they are seperate courses despite some similarity of required skills

2) what inside an injector looks like

3) DO NOT f****** potch!

He adjusted the waste-gate?
I think he did :D
