Hi guys
Bit in trouble here. Am up in Warwick for weeks hols and have split the Auto G/Box Rad. The small Ali one behind the front bumper N/S/F. Everywhere seems outta stock. Does anyone know if any other model fits? Guy on EBay has cooler for a 4.0 P38 auto? Or are they model specific? Cheers all. LTel

Try a phone call to Equicar in Bilston/Wolverhampton if your stuck.

An emergency fix would be to connect the two cooler pipes together and by pass the cooler, keep your eye on the transmission temperature warning light though.

Try island 4x4 on the web get it posted to you next day.
You will need wd40 and take it slow on the connections .

The temperature warning light won't work if you bypass the wheelarch cooler. The sensor for the light is screwed to the end tank of the cooler so if you bypass it, the sensor won't know what temp the oil is.

I think I got my cooler from Island 4x4. Took a couple of days to arrive. They are model specific, only the diesel auto has the wheel arch cooler. Pipes will strip the threads off the cooler as you remove them as they galvanically corrode onto them. But as your old cooler is scrap anyway it won't matter.

Hope you find one asap :)

Hi guys! Thanks for all advice. Rang round everyone and cheapest I could find was £185. Heartbreaking, but went and got it! Already been warned it's a poxy job by Barry (Dakar 4x4, where I got it from). But he's put fear of hell up me about taking the old one off and leaving the striped Ali threads in pipes.. Is it that poxy a job? Or am I worrying bout nothing..lol
Gonna go brave it soon as stops raining!!
