hi, I have a leaking manifold on the RH head. I am told that this can be somethign like 3 hours work where as the LH is about 1/2 that - whats the reason its longer. To make matters worse, mine has LPG most of which is installed above the manifold that restricts access a litte further -

any help / advise would be of benefit. PS the heat sheild is already removed.

take of the front wheel , remove the plastic wheel arch liner and maybe the steering column shaft you will then be able to get to all the bolts some are a bit tricky . is it leaking on the gaskets or flexi joint ? if you have to remove the manifold alltogether then you will need to remove the starter motor to get it out underneath also the down pipes
refit with new gaskets after cleaning the head and manifold flanges

update as follows :-
excellent advice regarding removal of the inner mudguard to get access to the manifold from behind the RH side wheel - makes life so much easier - issue now cured, V8 burble returns to normal.

Hi Mark, how long did it take you in the end? What problems did you come across while doing this?
