hi just replacing the in tank pump, the amount of crud around the bottom of the pump it is a wonder it ran at all, bought a new pump, can i just put the new pump in and away you go or will it need re sync?
the tank will be cleaned out too before i put it back on.

Pain in the ass to do though ant it? I cut a hole in the back to get to it (in the boot) trouble is they go a lot of the time so need replacing every 4 or 5 years, not its an easy job with the hole cut, probably just a 10 min job if that now

thankyou for that info,i did it the hard way as i wanted to clean the tank out, fair bit of crud in there, and didn't want that sludge to be picked up by the new pump.

I did that the first time ( right of passage I suppose?) but you learn from your mistakes, the nest time I did it from the top making the hole, and I have a nitro remote car (monster truck) and I used the fuel pump that I fill and empty the tank with by hand (Manuel hand pump) with a long tube to pull out the crap and crud from the bottom of the tank
