Hi
Is there anyone in the Derby area that has a diagnostic machine for my Range Rover 2.5 as there is fuel to the injector pump but it doesn't get to the injectors, we have checked the stop valve and removed the internal plunger but it still won't start, So before I do anything else maybe the diagnostic could actually tell me what is wrong, we have also replaced the in tank pump with a new one.
Hope someone can help please.

Do you have the message "Engine Immobilised" on the dash? Or a message to enter the EKA code?
It sounds like loss of sync between the BECM and the engine ECU leaving the engine immobilised.
If you get someone with a Nanocom to help, it's simply a matter of reading the code in the engine ECU and writing it to the BECM. When you have done that, turn off the EKA function and the immobiliser and you will be less likely to have the problem again.

Hi
Thank you for your reply it's really appreciated, the dash shows nothing different to normal unfortunately and I wish it did in some respects which is leading the mechanic to assume the injector pump has given up. but it just stopped working without any warning as I went to use it to go home one night and it just won't start and I love the car and apart from this, and it is such a great car but this has set me back and I have to decide what to do as I need a car.

Does the camshaft turn inside the rocker cover withe the oil cap off when you crank the engine?
Have you checked the plug between the fuel pump and engine to make sure it's tight?
Will it start on easy start or brake cleaner to prove mechanical timing is correct?😊
