What we don't see in the picture is that you're on the PA cheering on some doggers in old ford mondeo lol

Great countryside. Lush and green. I want it

We love doggers, have spotted a few whilst out night laning. Suddenly my lighting system developed a fault and all my lights came on. Was terrible cos it lit up the whole interior of the dogging car.

Regards that countryside, youll have to go bloody far norf to find that particular patch!!

It's one of those instances when you think "I wish I hadnt done that" but I will never learn; I live in hope that one day i will see a smoking hot bird who was well worth me illuminating her.

May take a good few hours of laning and/or a relocation to California before that becomes a reality.

Hey, it's all good over there though, hot doggers and it'd cost me peanuts to cruise round in the v8.

Best look into shipping fees.

And a mop to clear up this verbal diarrhoea!

Lansing at night has its benefits, however seeing clear your way through the bush (no pun intended) is difficult. I like the roof lights, which are a cheap mod nowadays, although seeing clearly down the side and to the rear is not easy.

Looking at some lights for the rear which are switched of the reversing lights along with a couple of working lamps. However, I hate the lights that get bolted to the roof so need to think about a nice way of blending them in.

One thing to be wary of with high level rear lights is glare on the rear window. Mine is really bright but unless its pointing horizontal all I can see is the rear door.......and horizontal its not to pleasant for anyone within 100yrds behind me

I'll be rigging up some sort of shade so I can have the beam hitting the ground about 15yrds behind

Yeah and I have read that roof lights do the same to the bonnet, causing glare. I have thought about mounting the rear spots within my bumper that I am currently doing. But I could really do with them higher up. Perhaps mount the inside the pillars.

Mount em to the inside if the back door and shield them to kill the glare (bit like high level brake lights work..

GummyBear is on about doing that. I have privacy glass with the thin film on them. I just think for me it will get too hot and melt the film. Great idea all the same.

front roof lights are great for laning but no good for high speed driving, you can see the bonnet which kills the contrast and your perception of the road ahead.

when you are laning at 5mph it doesnt matter, you can see all around almost like daylight. i was thinking about making some sort of visor under the lamps to keep light off the bonnet but would then lose too much low down beam which is ideal for seeing stuff in the immediate vicinity.

roof lights thus are not ideal for road driving.

a safety devices roof rack with lights mounted all around would be great, but the problem with the offroader is that everything has to be out of the line of fire. anything side mounted doesnt last long.

if i do eventually get round to reverse/work lights, they will be mounted rear pillar, near the washer nozzle sort of thing. have to bear in mind the rear door though, i need a camping light ideally for when the door is open...

hmmm.

Got my rear lights like this

Ideally could be a bit lower but they are not that bad. I dont have them done up real tight so if there is an overhanging tree it knocks them flat :)

And it appear to be overheating TR :D

Fair point about the black bonnet goonarmy, mines Matt green and it's still bad though, especially by the time you've got a bit of dried muddy water on there... :(

Quick question, I have done the same cuts as you to the rear side valance but I have got fuel tank pipes visable on mine, have you relocated these or have I just cut mine higher?
