hi im adam just bought a p38 diesel and i have alot of problems!

it is slouching quite badly to the rear drivers side.

doesnt like staring from hot.

its leaking oil from around tharea which is level with drivers headlight.

and central locking only opens drivers door with key not fob.

any help will be much appreciated thanks.

air bag is leaking/worn check and replace. check with soapy water and look for bubbles

doesnt like staring from hot.

search for 'hot start fix'

its the gearbox oil cooler if its where the rad is.

and central locking only opens drivers door with key not fob.

take out the lock mechanism and strip it down clean regrease fiddle about with it freeing internals off, should solve it, they are about 130 quid to replace so might aswell try it for nowt!

they are all common problems, not too hard to sort!!!
 
thanks ever so much, i dont suppose you could shed a little more light on the gear box oil cooler at all? cheers.

If it's auto the gearbox oil cooler is on the front nearside behind the grill where the fog light would live.:D Common oil leak is from the engine oil cooler flexible pipes where they are crimped:eek: Sagging suspension is probably a leaking airbag, change them quick before the compressor is cooked:eek::eek: Could also be a solenoid seal leaking. Mix a little washing up liquid with water and put it in a spray bottle and spray around the airbags, pipe joints etc and look for bubbles.

checked through the links and i am a bit clearer now, its a manual will it still have the cooler?
