New Vehicle!

So with my 21st last week, money from said 21st, a very broken down Land Rover and a sickness of using busses for three weeks this old girl cropped up online! i called the guy who gave me a VERY reasonable price. Shes in good nick all round, runs like a dream, well looked after, though has no Tax or MOT so using a trailer is a must.

Oh and I cant part with my old one so Im gonna store it!





I will remove the CD player, tart up the inside, probably repaint cause its a bit BRIGHT and clean it back to the cappings.

Turned out to have a chassis full of P38 :frown::frown::frown::frown: back to the 88 it is, and into the classifieds with the 109. If only I could weld.

it's the best oppertunity to learn mate,buy a welder and have a go,if the chassis is knackered you aint going to make it any worse for trying.

With my only other car being my 88" which needs attention, im earning £500 a month ish, just finished university, I do thousands of miles a year and have been without a car for 6 weeks, need the 88 ASAP, I dont know if that would be viable mate. I dont wanna sell the 109 so soon, I really like it, but I dont know what else to do.

keep the 109, looks tidy from the pics, and just buy a welder
i learned last year when i was 17, scrap bits of metal, fiddled around with settings
i practiced by writing my name in bits of metal, then to two peices of metal, then last month i cracked my bmx frame, with no money the only option was to repair, so i welded it back up, still holding strong
learn now cos youll never know when youll need it afterwards!
plus saves on all garage bills

What a shame.

Whatever happened to inspecting steel components with a magnet, screwdriver and hammer? Not much consolation for the OP, but they are essential for looking at old vehicles.

Dude the PO went under with a lump hammer! The filler was hidden under underseal

A vehicle looking that shiny and freshly painted yet having no mot would have got the alarm bells ringing straight away.

Hopefully your good purchase price was good enough to absorb the cost of doing the welding.
