Hey people,

need a bit of help. I have carried out a pickup conversion on my D2. Everything was fine until my battery died and I think it’s superlocked. I’ve got my EKA code but it doesn’t seem to work. Is there anyone locally with a nanocom who might be able to help????

pretty please!!!

If you can't remobilise it with the EKA code nanocom or any other tester is useless cos the BCU won't comunicate with diagnostics while it's immobilised

Aha, perhaps it is not superlocked. It is immobilized. Basically I have the original EKA Code and have had this verified with Turner Engineering, turns out B is 11. When I enter the EKA code is doesn't accept it, perhaps down to my sloppy attempts due to frustration. At the minute when I put the key in the ignition and turn it to start I get nothing. Just all the dash lights on. I have removed the back door and 2 rear doors. I am at a loss.

I have replaced the RF unit but don't get any signal that it is communicating with the keys. I have read about the secondary alarm battery behind the interior above the Drivers side back wheel. I don't remember removing this from where its situated next to the Fuel Cap actuator.

No matter how many times I try the EKA it won’t work??

if the rear door harnesses are unplugged does the car assume the doors are open?

really appreciate the help

if the connectors are unplugged the BCU considers them closed when the door is opened the microswitch in the actuator closes to earth. That red LEDon das confirms it's immobilised, what's the sign of failing EKA ? do you get the single beep?

I will ask a stupid question.

Are you using the correct D2 directions for entering the EKA code? including the 5 minute wait.

Cheers
It’s not giving the two beeps to say it’s accepted, only one which from the USer manual says is not accepted.

Yes single beep

I have just looked and the red and black cables that run into the RF unit are just hanging out not going to anything also. Very annoying.

I literally just got the BCU back on Tuesday from Turner who gave me a print out with EKA code
as long as you get the bong to start then the bong at the end as it's not accepted i think the BCU does it's job so something might be wrong with that code.... though if you got the BCU back from specialists why is it immobilised?

Haha and I’ve read some of your posts, you are the expert for this stuff.

I am baffled!!!

do you know anything about the secondary sounder?

do you know anything about the secondary sounder
Yes, i do...it's called BBUS (cattery backed up sounder) which is to retain the vehicle's security if the main battery is disconnected but if the alarm was set for BBUS too if you unplug it while the vehicle is locked you can end up immobilised but IMO your problem is not that... better complain to the diagnostics people that the BCU doesnt accept the code eventually send it back and ask them to disable the immobiliser... i'm wondering if they extracted rge EKA actually from the BCU's memory or searched it after the VIN
