Today then was a boring day as far as pictures are concerned really as its mostly seam sealing and under sealing. But a couple of fab bits:

But first, mikes Ooooo ahhh faces:

Fabbing a bracket for the header tank and fuse box:

Now, the Land Rover washer bottle is hoooooooge so good for less times filling it up, but not so good for trying to fit in my tubular bay and therefore wheel clearance.
So take one Mondeo TDCi im breaking for spares at the mo, and modify it!
Cut the long neck down, plasti-weld it and put some sealant around it:

It fits perfectly. But not fitted it yet due to the Schutz'ing going on...

Mikey is still cracking on tonight so hopefully he will update this later, or send me the pics to put on!

Mike text me a couple of snaps:

Worked on dans truck to the wee hours and finally realised it was time to go home when I suddenly noticed myself singing a song to myself that I made up about rivnuts.... I don't have it in me to write a caption for the pics but I'm sure dan will add something if needs be...

Back to front Mr T lol but i like it!
You are a nutcase tho!
Is that it now? Can it be bolted down tight and work commence on putting back together?

Its looking great Dan, you and Mikey have done an fantastic job.
You could get a lot of stones being chucked up against the engine and bonnet.

Just sat and read this build start to finish - some awesome ideas, wish I had the time and money! should be impressive when finished, all the fab work looks great.
looking forward to the finished product!

*** Probably should have been working instead of sat at my laptop!***

Just have to play it by ear. See how it goes. When things break, fix it and mod it to prevent it happening again. I have a shed load of spares so have most things in stock.
If we have to add removable panels then so be it. But wont know till we try...

Sorry for the back to front pics lol wernt really with it after a 20h day lol. Was like a zombie at work today lol but got it done so can crack on tomorrow.

Body can be tightened down it all mounted but only nipped up with the ratchet, while I was checking alinement.

Think the rad bottle will be fine sits well inbound now but fuse box sits a bit closer to the wheel. Like dan said he has plenty of spares so improvents / shielding can be made after a bit if problems arise

Tank Build day!

One small leak so far which has been rectified, but now out of gas so cant finish it tonight, but just slotted it in to get the idea:

Will have small feet, be double skinned and mounted to the floor....

fits well, getting a good seal was what put me off making one!
Question... would it have not been easier to fit an in-line pump (£50 fleebay) rather than going to all that effort to fit the standard one?

This is brilliant, bought myself a disco about 4 weeks ago but with work commitments not had time to do anything, but I so want to get started now
