Acording to Adrian Flux, the policy i have (breakdown and damage) covers me for green lanes and pay and play sites.
Was tested recently by someone at the local quarry site, he was recovered and the insurance paid out for the damage (rolled)

Insurance and breakdown combined are an exception to the rule cos no matter what the insurance need to get the vehicle out to repair or sell off for salvage. They will also pay any specialist charges.

Used to be quite entertaining at the end of Billing (I'm sure other shows were the same) watching all the AA/RAC wagons rolling up to recover all the motors that had failed on the off road course.

I live in a small village (lots of muck from tractors on the roads etc) so my landy tends to look like it's bin off road ALL the time

I don't use AA or RAC as when I specifically asked about off road recovery, they said 'no'

So . . . I treid Brittania, and they're fine about it, also as an aside they will recover caravans/trailers as well (AA/RAC will ONLY if you have paid the extra premium) as far as I know !!!!!

am all for the tow it to a jet wash first then ring em. breakdown is one thing i keep saying i need to take out but i never do.

hang on am sure i have it with lancaster my insurer? i know there are a few peeps on here insured by them, does anyone know the terms and conditions on the breakdown and who the subcontractor for it is?
