basically over the few months o2 have been cocking around, suspended my account(3 times).
this was due to missing one payment due to them mischarging
they then sent me a bill for cancellation of over 500 quid.
had a go at them about this, they cancelled it and said i wouldnt be charged anything but my monthly fee. following month phone gets cut off again.
phone them up again.
they said that i have an outstanding fee of 28 pound. and this was due to missing the first ten, and then the rest was due to two more charges for not paying the 10, even though i wasnt informed about the payment.

yesterday logged onto o2 to see how many mins i had left, only to be told i owed 3 15 for calls(fair enough i did call 118 188)
also i owe 15 for text messages. thought it a bit funny and had a look at my allowance, seems they are only allowing me to have 350 of my 500 texts, and a similar amount of my 600 mins.

basically im fed up with o2 cocking me around charging me money that i wouldnt owe if they hadnt screwed up.
already payed 30 to the bastards cause they cocked up.
cant be arsed with them any more, what can i do about this, im half way through my contract but dont want to stay with them any more.

sorry about the length of the post.

cheers

if you can show that you are paying for a service from them that you are not geting ie you pay for 500 texts and only geting 300 they are in breach of contract i have had simaler from 3 network[ i stung um for 2 new phones and let me off 3 months bills and line rental] ring ofcom explan your problem then phone 02 and tell um you are asking ofcom to deal with them

O2 rocks! I threatened to leave em at the end of the contract and they offered to renew my £35 contract only slightly better (1000 mins and 600 txts and unlimited web browsing) and give me a shiny new sony phone all for £14 a month!!! (and that's a fixed £14, not a "34 then claim back 20" £14!)

Have heard them to be a bit bad when things go wrong, but then i only switched to them coz i had egg-zachary the same problems with Orange

how did you get 3 to listen? My mate has their broadband, he had to send his modem back 5 times before they would actually test it properly and so fix it.

Load o ****e.

As for O2, what they said above really. If possible, see if they will put you through to their customer retention department. I know oranges retention dept have access to stupid offers that no other department can give.

Hate orange personally.

If they still won't play nicely, try quoting the Unfair Terms In Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999 and tell them that it is because you believe they have breached these regulations that you are now prepared to refer the matter to OFCOM. (PM wiv sum details on the way) It might be enough to scare them into having a rethink.

Don't forget to get the full names of everyone you speak to - the thought that they could get dragged into the sh!te with OFCOM normally gets the pooper twitching....

hang about - he's signed a contract (i assume for 12 or 18 months) and missed a number of payments, so on what grounds will he be able to get out of that contract on the basis it is they (O2) who are in breach of that contract ?

am sure there will be some small print in that contract that says somethings along the lines of "will will cease service provision if you dont pay"

if you've signed a contract stick to the terms of it by paying, or if you want out of it pay their cancellation fee and get a PAYG phone
