if you take the lanny of road at all and go for protection, what do you go for? pay for? or would like first?
much appreciated to all those who vote.

I would say heavy duty bumpers with a couple of good recovery points front and back. But i get stuck alot!Got a heavy duty bumper on the front of me 110 and nearly lifted the whole car on that. And you can have dings in tescos car park and not worry. And you can mount winches on some of em

maybe they think landys are capabable enough.

Or maybe they are a nfc(by the way is that norse, nordic or nowegian?Cant remember)

Something from Durex used to help but I had a vasectomy on Friday so I voted no mods.(well 2 little tubes clipped):D

I voted all the above, but would list them in sequence of priority..

1) recovery points front/rear without heavy duty bumpers
2) recovering straps shackles etc
3) diff guards
4) steering guards
5) dog guards to prevent gears at boot flying to the front
6) wading kits
7) heavy duty springs / lift (2" or below)
8) proper set of muddies.......bought but got stolen....not happy
9) heavy duty bumpers with proper recovery points
10) Removal of standard tow bar and fit removable types
11) dual battery system for winch / electrikeries
12) self recovery winch
13) sill protection with jacking points
14) sump guards and tank guards
15) medium/heavy duty roof rack (not the cheapish roof bars)
16) proper in car storage system for all the gears (like what Hybrid girl has)
17) hot water shower system with water storage, could be use as washing up after a cuppa
18) heavy duty half shafts and prop shafts

Heavy duty steering bar, panhard rod etc as of when the mod is needed pending on types of off roading.

This is my setup as well as wishlist as my old girl is slowly being transformed into a tourer with occasional off roading.

would'nt it be easier to get the recovery points fitted in one go?

Agree.

But when I first got the vehicle, there's not much dosh left to get proper bumpers with recovery points, hence jate rings front and back. A cheaper resolution.

I am also sure a lot of people wants to keep the original looks of the car if not doing a lot of offroading.

just looking at standard spec equipment at first, then will be introducing extras. take a steering guard for instance, standard guard, recovery points, jacking points, shackles, powdercoat (choice of colours). if you get what i mean? so poeple will have a variation in a single product depending on there needs and or wallet.

My last Landy came with diff guards and steering guard fitted, so just added JATE rings front and rear for recovery and rock/tree sliders that I made mesen. Already had a D-B removable tow hitch.

Current Landy was stock when I got it, so added heavy duty steering guard and diff guards straight away (less than £100). Made rock/tree sliders and fitted them, already had 2 strops and a couple of 6t shackles. 235/80's on grey modulars were added next just before tyres direct went bust. Currently have NATO/standard combi hitch on rear, but need to mod it with a detachable Dixon-Bate mounting plate. Extended breathers have been fitted and are clipped to front bulkhead at the moment. Snorkel will be added (birthday present?) and maybe a tank guard fabricated out of scrap.
