Just a heads up for anyone who wishes to jump to the XYZ switch first off... my td5 facelift was throwing up the m&s when placed into reverse, I decided to drop the oil first and filter and subsequently it has become less and less of throwing up limp mode, from daily to maybe once a month.
So rather than throw in a switch first off I would suggest a bit of tlc, my next change is due to facilitate a full oil change so I hope it's going to be fine thereafter.
This is the 2 nd filter change in 85 k miles
