Good evening folks, hope someone can help i have lost the cruise control checked the system and got fault code P0578, cruise control multi-function input A circuit stuck.
Many thanks.

hi
could be a few things , i.e.

1) rotary coupling
2) Steering wheel switches
3) Check the continuity on steering wheel loom
4) check connections on the pcm module behind the battery
5) brake pedal switch, check rear brake lights are working
does ur radio controls and horn work ok

if u need to remove the steering wheel airbag , u need the hook tool to remove the airbag , not forgetting to disconnect the battery first then wait for 30 x mins before removing airbag

may i ask what diagnostics are u using plse,

hope that helps

Brake light switch first as cheap and easy to fit.
Most people dont realise a lot of brake switches have 2 circuits, 1 for the stop lights and1 to knock out the cruise control.

does seem to be very common with land rover and failed brake light switches , lol

took me ages to retrofit cruise control to mine , trying to get the hook to release the steering wheel airbag ,

then activating it took a while as i didn't know what setting it was under , it was listed -- ladder ,

Ive had one on a d2 where the cruise still worked fine but brake lights were inop, new switch cured it, I stripped old one down and it was knackered
Same on a merc ML.
