I think the v8 battery has died. Fob not opening the doors, Not used the v8 for 5 days all work fine then.
Tried to open the door with the key to find it must of had a key change at some point as the key don't work in any door.
reason I think its the battery is not flashing light on dash, and iv changed the fob battery.

So how do I get in the disco open without putting a window in so I can open bonnet to jump start it ??

Recovery service will not come out as I need to be 1 mile away from home :eek:

Im thinking of trying to remove the alpine window, open sun roof, drop a child down to open the door ?
just don't know if you can get the alpine window out from the outside ?
 
I once locked my keys in my Nova.... my spare set were at home.... I was in Germany!!

I used a metal coat hanger straightened out, but with a hook bent into the end, inserted down the window seal... hook the rod that is attached to the lock.. yank up and hey presto :)

could be worth a try.... that or get the help of a scouser ;)
 
Am i right in thinking if i pull the nearside headlight of the mounts, the cable passes thro behind it ?? Poss pull on cable to open bonnet ??
 
As said try the starter way + fob way , or I would bent top off door back a little , try and cause the least amount off damage if u cant get power to the battery

Haha yeh these were piece of cake to get into - I had an 86 Astra that I could open in about 3 seconds with a hacksaw blade and insulation tape* - you just needed to push down not even hook anything!

*this was optional but prevented me cutting myself :D
 
I haven't had chance to look at the v8 as yet. Will get around to it in the next few days.
Iv got me 300tdi to drive so not stuck for transport.

power to the starter still sounds the best way around the problem..... then new door locks lol.

Landys are stolen frequently enough without giving tips to thieves

I find it amusing the amount of stolen land rover threads there are and people still give out information on how to get into them...
