lets talk bio diesel !

Its a shame i don't run a diesel coz a truck come in the other day with an injector leaking, the sump had about 30lts of engine oil to about 20lts of diesel, and it all went into the wast
A good bit of filtration and that would have run and old smoker,

Stuff that is anti foaming has silicon in it, you don't want that stuff. Most fry shops use the anti foaming veg oil

I seem to remember that you can tell by the calorific value of the oil

I.I.R.C. 900+ Is alright, much less than 900 has the anti-foaming stuff in

Yep , just read the label, it will say anti foaming........

I buy mine at 1.05 a litre, only down side I hgave found so far is changing the leak off hoses avery 6 months, really need to get some vitron hose

everything I have tried so far either cant take the heat, or cant take the bio

I run my 300tdi on bio, I also ran my old 300tdi no problems at all and its £1.00 a litre in sheffield

When I first got my 300Tdi I found a place selling Bio that wasn't local but was on Debs way to work and thought great, when it needs filling up I can just steal Debs car so she has to take the Disco, then they moved :doh:

At the moment Tesco are doing Veg oil at £10 for 10l so I'm running it on a mixture of that and pump fuel.

The down side is that I'm putting on weight, I think it's the smell making me hungry all the time

mines about a 9 mile round trip, when the price was closer I used bio if i was passing, but not the price difference is 35p a litre its worth driving over there.
