best way is go compare and the internet searches i have a series 3 (2+1/4 petrol)
and looked over 3 hours and eventualy got a good qoute for a 19 year old no ncb 3points and a ban and found 1 via gocompare thru fortis for only £450 thats with modifications like 2 roofs hard and rag top with bigger wheels and other upgrades so found it pritty cheap . and as for girls they get even cheaper insurance anyway so should be cheaper

Just be careful with Fortis, they're nowt but a pain in the arse if you need to make a claim, when my old man got crashed into in the 90 he had it took them nearly a year to sort it, and that was with the other party admitting fault.

As Dewin said... Quinn Direct, They're about the best when it comes to making claims, my mum worked as a claims settler with them for nearly 2 years, every single case took maximum a month (the month one was some women claiming for everything possible - whiplash, cracked ribs, etc...)

That's the 2 insurers that I know anything about/had some experience with.

Hi,

It was Fortis that allowed me to "copy" my NCB onto my new car. EG... I had 70% NCB on my Land Rover with another company, so Fortis allowed me 70% on my FIAT 126BIS with them. I wasn't enamoured with the premium, so when that policy expired, I took the second NCB elsewhere. I think I had to ask for proof.

But this was 6 or 7 years ago, so maybe they have changed.

Are you sure they are not insuring you, with your daughter as a named driver?

Third party claims MUST be paid, if a court says so, so not your worry. But a bad insurer can be a pain if they won't pay for your own damage.

Get Legal Protection, its worth the few quid extra. You don't want to be paying for a barrister when the other party gets theirs free.

NFU wont insure under 21's any more, although if u already have a policy with them they will. But they didnt give me the cheapest quote

Oh thats weird, ive been with them about a year now, got a bargain of a quote when i passed.

about £450 on a 200tdi 90.

to be fair its 3rd party, my dads the main driver , limited millage policy etc etc..

I dont get a no claims discount but at that price i cant complain :)

Hi

We have had our insurance with adrian flux for the past 7 yrs.
When i passed my test 5 yrs back, cost me £25 to go as named driver on other halfs policy for our old defender. Our freelander is now with them and each year no one comes up cheaper.
Our classic policy for the s2a is £112 fc again with me as named driver and no no-claims.

Would defently give them a call
