Just being a curious George and I don't think anyone else has posted anything like this.

what has been the most annoying thing you have had to fix that has broken or needed sorting on your Land Rover?
Need it be a Series, Defender..ect

Atm the most annoying thing was the core plug as my drill is bust so I had to use a centre punch and pliers to knock it out. wasn't hard but bloody well annoying catching my knuckles against the bulkhead when hammering the centre punch in.

Side Indicator on a Defender..... It is impossible to change the unit WITHOUT dropping the hole fooking inner wing! Bastards.

windscreen wipers packed in on the 110 last winter, nothing blown, motor was fine, had the whole dash apart trying to find a fault in wires, stripped then replaced switch, nothing worked! was driving me mental for the whole weekend. got to the point of "**** it im driving it anyway" pulled out the drive and me mate says" your reverse bulbs gone" pop new bulb in and the bastard wipers start working!!!
also helped when i figured out the two fuse blocks where in the wrong way around so fuse guide ment nothing :)
was in a good mood that day.

Engine used to stop without warning on my V8 110. Sometimes it would start again after a few tries but other times it wouldn't,
Tried dizzy amplifier, rotor arm , coil, fuel pump, ignition switch, fuel tank vent, fuel filter, switch over switch for gas / petrol, ....

Turned out to be a dirty fuse:doh:

Where to start.
Thinking my 200tdi washer bottle had a leak, taking it off twice before realising that my 300tdi washer jets are shaped differently and thus don't make a seal.

Sealing up both my sunroof cause of all the water getting in. Even with the drain holes cleaned and the leaky alpine light re-sealed condenstation still builds up inside.

Have my 2 day old CB and aerial nicked along with cheap headunit. Then finding out that when the scroats had smashed the window to get in they had also broken the window regulator so had to buy a brand new one and spend 2 hours hoovering up glass from inside the cab.

Most annoying continuing problem is no power going to one of my headlights meaning when I switch to full beam only one works.

Oh and the rear windows only work when THEY want to.

Feel better for that.
Chris.

Not had much to do in 6months ownership... but changing the washer jets drove me mental! I tried to follow the advice on here to go in through the ashtray, but that only works for people with tiny hands and three elbows;) Ended up with the dash off and took a good couple of hours.
Main reason for the frustration was that the replacement was only need 'cos I smashed to old one chipping ice off the screen- d'oh!

I have had plenty to do on mine but apart from the odd rusty nut it's been straight forward.

The biggest pain is that you seem to fix one thing and something else goes wrong.

Removing the washer bottle, 3 screws with flat heads and rusted on, had to remove the wheel to get an angle grinder in to cut the heads off in the end...
