key resycronisation??

Hi all,

New here sorry to leap straight in with a problem


We think our daughter has manage to mess with the key fob too much and disconnect it from the car. We've tried the key access but this is not working keeps showing key code lock out. We've done this before successfully.

According to the manual you can't synchronise whilst the alarm is set. We only have one fob.

Can anyone give us any pointers?

Year of car would help and also is it petrol or diesel. sync varies with year.

To synch the key have you tried locking and unlocking the door with the key and then pressing the lock and then unlock buttons immediately afterwards?

Might be worth putting your location in to see if anyone is close too.

grrr to be fair your comment is a load of ****e !!!!!!!!! read the instructions ,, it tells you what to do !!!!!!!!! and your suggestion doesn't work either or was you just guessing again !!!!!!!

Hi Mozz. It said to PM you. That was pretty short I thought!

As for the synch, that's how I got mine to synch my new key. The first time it didn't work so I tried again and that worked. I know the key synch method changed at some stage though. Obviously if the engine has lost synch then you're in a bit more trouble. And if the BECM is in an alarmed state even more so, I guess.

hi grrr , his car has lost sync between b.e.c.m. and engine e.c.u. so needs a syncmate or other diagnostics i.e. autologic -nanocom -etc etc to re-sync , we are tryin to arrange a loan of a syncmate locally as theres no one listed on international rescue that has one ,,, so hopefully should have answers tomorrow !!!!!

on a separate note " new keys/fobs direct from main dealer do NOT have to be synced ,,,they are pre done at huff factory ... its probably the main dealer in certain areas who are just con merchants and greedy ...that's why there called " main stealers "
and finally re my thread P.M. ME I then pm them back with my number so they can ring me and I give them the help they need !!!! I wont put my number out in general as all you get is a load of cranks and timewasters ringin me , so if ive give my number out ,I know who im dealing with !!!!! simples ,,,, kind regards mozz,

We're in Sheffield, tomcat maybe one that Mozz has mentioned to rich on the phone, we've found someone at the other side if Sheffield with one who fx can come out over the weekend.
