Hi, I've got a 03 Discovery td5 but have only 1 key. I got a used one of ebay and bought a new blade which fits the locks . According to the handbook you can reprogram a key in the door lock by turning the key to correspond with the security code i.e 4=four turns . Does anyone know how you input a 0, as in 4025 ? thanks

1. I think u are speaking about using EKA code which is not key reprogramming at all...it's used to remobilise an immobilised car if the fob fails to unlock/disarm trhe alarm
2. Are u sure that 4025 is not the radio unlock code? ...cos EKA and radio code are both on the security card but they are different

according to my kit you need diagnostic equipment to program fobs, and i no you need diagnostic equipment to program the transponder. and im fairly sure you cannot virginise a landrover keyfob,

so the transponder in your fob will not work, unless im wrong and you can change it for a new transponder
(transpoder does what the eka code does, but automaticly and tells the immobiliser to shut off)

hope it makes sence...

You cannot re-initialise the second-hand fob without access to a diagnostic terminal such as NanoCom or EVO.
