Hi

For some reason my CD and Sat Nav no longer display on my head unit. Anyone have any fixes? As I don't seem to be able to fix this thought I might connect my Ipod in!!! Easier said than done it appears. Lots of kits out there most don't fit an 04 RR. I did come across a You tube video of the XR Audio kit Range Rover iPod iPhone - YouTube. It looks great but now seems to be unavailable. Has anyone come across it or has another simple and relatively cheap solutions?

Many thanks

John

+1 to the above, your issue is deeper than just a CD unit and Sat Nav.....check for moisture as above, but also find the fuse in the passenger glove box (the one the stereo fuse 4X something) and pull that for 20 minutes, sometimes this resets the system....but most often it is damp connections and electronics in the boot that is the issue!

EDIT: Fuse number 49 - 30amp

Thanks yes I have tried all the known faults, water ingress, it all appears dry, poor or corroded connections, they all appear good. Have pulled the fuses, all to no avail! Hence the decision to look at an iPod replacement

Hi yes radio and sound is all fine. The display on the head unit is missing the cd and sat nav. The cd changer seems to work ok it's simply not on the head unit to be able to select it

All the displays - SatNav, Radios, CD, et al all go through a Display module in the boot rear Left Quarter (all I know is it is silver in colour)...that seems to be the common denominator in all this....have another check.

As for the CD player not working - very common, mine doesn't so I ignore it and use my ipod on an FM transmitter works and the quality is good enough for me!!

2.0_Hippo knows how to fit an Aux socket for the ipod, search for his posts...

Another option would be to visit fullfatrr.com - Index (hate to point to another forum) but they are pretty clued up on Infotainment upgrades!

Saint many thanks that's very useful information. I will try and track the display module down and investigate the connections. Will look at hippo also
Cheers again

I had the same problem with mine. Even though there was no obvious corrosion on the connectors, I still cleaned them all with electrolube and cleaned off all the excess (whilst the fuses were removed). Once they were reconnected, hey presto, all working!

Regarding Ipod connection, it is a pain in the arse to fit but worth it. I have a Dension Gateway in mine. You can even play films/music videos etc... all for a round £250 fitted!
