I have a 2010 range rover vogue and can not get my sat nav system updated its the Denso hard wired system, the only update I was offered was for a 2014 update and that can only be done by a handful of dealers in the country. So what I want to do is connect my iphone to my system, I have already tried plugging in via the ipod connector but no joy also tried plugging it in to the USB connector again no joy. I have an aux IP somewhere in the car so that will be my next try I just need to know what type of plug I need for the Aux input. Can anyone help?

If it's just sound can you plug a Bluetooth Aux adaptor in the Aux input and pair your iPhone to that?
Like this.

Only after 2019 did LR put Apple CarPlay support in. Only other option is to replace the factory using with an aftermarket stereo. Probably a whole load of challenges doing that.

Just put the iPhone in a holder & use it's own screen . . . . . besides you should only be following the audio while driving.

Better still look at a map before you set off & memorize the route . . . like the old days !!

I play the Google maps sound on my radio via an FM transmitter plugged into the earphone jack of my phone. The sound is not loud enough on my phone.
To get a sensible route with sat nav I always need to stick loads of way points in, a hopeless job with built in sat nav, much easier on the kitchen table with phone or tablet.:)

I was always a nokia phone user in the old days but now the iphone is much better in my experience. But I'll always be a nokia kid
