Having cleaned out the dust, spiders and general bits out of the interior light lenses, they are still really dim compared to a 53 reg Ford Fusion.

Is it worth replacing the original bulbs with LED ones? How much better light have you got? Did it entail a stronger fuse? Any recommendations as to what LED's to get. This would be for the front centre and L & R map reading lights, the rear passenger light and the boot light.

I'm new here.
But i just replaced my "239" festoon bulbs (front and rear center) with a 6 led version and i'm really happy with them.
At night they're bright and clear. I personally wouldn't change them again.
Led bulbs don;t require any modification to fuses.
Haven't changed the L/R reading ones yet, but i will.

Just a basic td4 freelander that could do with brighter interior lights. Suspect there may be some earthing issues as they aren't performing properly with wire bulbs!

What's the project car? Is that an MG body on a Disco Chassis?

Yes it is. Standard 3.6l with LPG.

In fact it's actually been resprayed orange (nothing like doing the job properly.
New roof.
Completely rebuilt bolt for bolt.
It going in for an mot this week.
Project finished about a week ago.
Purrs like a kitten. Runs like it's on rails.

It's taken about 3 years.

What a super creation - I think! I presume you managed to shoe horn in a radiator some how!

I can't see the point of a D-Lander - its too close to just being a Discovery - but that's completely different.

Love to see a pick of it all dolled up for its MOT.
