To be honest I when I first posted my thread I hadn't spotted the for sale section and since there were other items for sale in the section I did post in I felt there was no harm in doing so. Oh, by the way you could at least be consistent with your approach. Those items are still for sale in that section!

I suggest you look at the link that you used as an example of the spam that we left. It did say something alongthe lines of 'for sale -truckman hard top-unique'. As you can see it doesn't say it any more. Now click on the link and see what it says


It wasn't intended as spam it was a genuine mistake at first. The thing I took issue with was the fact that it was just removed without an explanation. If you did reply I did not see it because it was removed before I got chance to view it again.

Most forums would have at least sent a PM to say it has been removed and for what reason or even move it to the correct section.

Most forums including this one ban spammers without warning. We didn't ban you even though you have now admitted that you did it deliberately to get more business by posting it OUTSIDE the for sale section

The reason I stopped using this forum is because unfortunately there seem to be a few members who's first reaction at something different is to bite your head off instead of offering advice. As you can seem by the majority of replies to this post. It is a shame because the majority of people on here seem to be well informed.

All I wanted from this post was to find out what had happened to my initial thread.

I didn't deliberately put it there because it was the busiest section, it was as I said a genuine mistake. That was just to counter you arguement about it looking stupid.

Because you'd end up with a forum full of threads saying 'use the for sale section'.

We tend to leave an edited post like that one from time to time to discourage people from posting items for sale in the general forums.

It shows them that we do remove the contents so it's a waste of their time.

From one newbie to another....................

In the short time I've been on here I've had posts removed, OK agreed they had nuffin to do with selling stuff they were more tongue in cheek,

I can't be arsed to get irate over the small stuff due to the fact I have gained more knowledge and information through peoples answers to question's I've posted or others have than any haynes manual could ever give me, and that after all is ONE of the reasons I'm here!

The other is.................... when she's road worthy, I can't wait to meet up with some of these nupties and get bloody muddy!

So either take what the mods did with a pinch of salt and post anything you have for sale in the relevant section or as others have said.............. fook orft!

I'm a dumb arse but even I can figure out that if you start a fire you are either cold or hungry and if you keep ****hing on it your gunna be cold and hungry when you most need it!
 
in my humble opinion i think it's time he stopped his crying and put his toys back in the cot .
as was said previously if yer don't like it go take a flying feck at a rhino !

your a spamming bastard and I have no tolerance for spamming bastards.. the only reason you caem back to this forum by your own admittance was to sell sommat... you may have been a member for fifty odd years for all I care but 90 posts and so far all the ones I've seen doing nothing but wind up and bait the locals makes you a stupid spamming bastard...

Hiya mate. I'm good thanks. Hows about yerself?:)

I've taken that winch bumper off the front of my landy to make way for my new PTO one.

When I get it home from it's current location in Yeovil I'll take some decent piccys for you.
 
i am good ta :), burning the candle at both ends as normal, got to be up at 4.20am :eek:

the photos would be great :D the plan is still there for those, eventually.

dont fancy setting up the workshop just to have to move it again.
