I bought one!

Hi All,

I thought I'd post this in here as opposed to the model specific forum, seeing as this is my 1st LR, plus I wanted to thank the folk on the site who'd posted so much good info (good search facility) . So, thanks!

Anyway, just bought a '98 Defender 110 300Tdi, in blue, and with only 67800 miles on the clock and service history you would not imagine. The 1st owner ('98 - 2005) kept a log of every trip and every diesel fill, mpg, every niggle, issue and subsequent sorting of said! It's brilliant!

I look forward to getting off road ASAP and hopefully meeting some of you too.

That looks nice that does... Although the white roof looks a little odd, Would of thought it would have been body colour..?

All I can see is a big shiny glare. It can't be a defender cos they aint shiny.

Looks mint that one , closest its been to off road by the looks of it is in the field behind it .
Get the waxoyl in the chassis and pillers + doors she'll last yrs

looks well nice - its nice to have a shiny LR, at least for a while. I rekon white roofs look best too.





All this is epecially in light of me getting my 90 painted all shiny and un dented soon, with a white roof and white wheels

Thanks for the nice comments, all.

As for mods...that's what I'm afraid of! LOL. Roof rack, spots, A bar and a snorel are on the cards. After that, a wee bit more 'go' would be nice, and maybe a little bit of a lift .

1st mod: take yer side-steps off and put rock-sliders on; saves 'mother nature' induced body mods

I think white roof was standard.

My life is currently far too busy ( ) to fart about with buying welding kit and metal, when I'm quite happy to buy some and get them fitted, in order to save time.

ETA - or you could just call me lazy!

Nice 110 that is , would of been a 90 if owner from 98-05 wasn't as particular, needed the 110 wheelbase to get the history filing cabinet in lol
