I am so Lost.. v23134-b52-x130??????

OK, i drove my rover and all was fine. Then i went out the next day to leave and it wouldnt start. I could hear a clicking sound under the dash when i turned the key, but it wouldnt start. So i traced it down and found the relay that was clicking. So i pulled it out so i could replace it. I thought, i wonder if it will start? i turned the key and she fired right up and ran fine. So my question is, what is this relay for and why does my rover run without it but it wont run if its bad? I have tried to find out information, but have been unsuccessful. So can someone please tell me what v23134-b52-x130 relay is please? thanks

@Ruger45acp - on this forum it is normal as a new member, to go to the 'Introduce yourself' section and er well, introduce yourself, before asking for help.

Plus it's really useful if you put some vehicle details in your signature, so we know what vehicle you are asking for help on - things such as Model/model year/engine/gearbox types and mileage.

A bog standard 4 pole relay, so it can be used in many applications on many vehicles, such as starter, fuel pump, ABS, AC auxiliary lighting etc etc.

Perhaps mention the position on the relay rack it was found.
