had the car running on idle alot over the past couple of weeks while getting my problems sorted, i have not had a chance to really drive
it yet as i wanted to get them sorted.

i was hoping and expecting to get 12mpg around town and 20 on a run
but to my alarm the computer is stating 5 to 6 mpg. is this right, i know
the proof is in driving but i put 65 quid in last week, have done 15 miles
and idled for a couple or 3 hours at most and it is half gone.

is there a reliable additive to put in the fuel to clean the injectors or is
there a seroius fault????????

Hi i also have a 4.6 hse but iam getting just under 18 mpg around town, idont rely on the computer to much i checked it by filling up then seeing how many miles i got out of the tank. it sounds like you could have a problem. :mil80:

Hi buddy.

Don't panic!

Find a Landrover approved garage (not a main dealer preferrably otherwise it will cost you a fortune) and get them to plug in their testbook. This will show up any fuel/air mix issues.

Could be something simple like a duff sensor.

I used to get an average of 18.6 mpg with my P38.

Good luck!

The mechanic can run a complete diagnostic check which will show up any faults with the vehicle. Some problems can even be cured by re-setting particular systems.

It's pretty cool!

norwich, lots of rip off places.
theres one perticular place jsf, more expensive than main dealers.

for example i got a quote for £1100 to do blend motors
when hunters (dealer) quoted £700
peter scott also quoted £700

anyone mobile is best i think so you watch and learn
