When I was a young(ish) teacher with a series two the girls seemed to get very excited about the overdrive lever (yes the one down there...) I always put it down to the LR's charisma rather than my own.

I'm 18 and had my Y reg 2.5 petrol 110 since I was 17. I drove that alongside a 1.4 16v Corsa Sport, and although there was a hell of a difference in speed I don't need to tell you which one was more fun!
My 110 set me back 500 quid with some minor work needed, and was another 500 (ouch) to insure, but it's been well worth it!
