Help

riight - plea for help. im just replacing a PAS pump and its gone to **** - got one nut left and it wont come ot because the head has gone smooth as a football - this is the nut holding the PAS pump to the engine block - so the whole thing really needs to come off

all of this and i need to get to wales - tonight!!

so - has anyone kinda local to me (beaconsfield in bucks) got a welder they would be willing to bring down so i can weld a 13 bolt to the nut, and then se that to get the thing out??? mucho drinks will be provided, and a debt that will last a long time

Try smacking a smaller socket over the head of the bolt.... Should work with a bit of luck!

A set of rounded nut removers will shift it. I got 2 sets but they aint gonna be any help to you cos I'm nowhere near you.

yea, put on a 3/8ths and it rotated, then went a 9mm, then 8mm - got down to smashing on a 6 after removing the whole feckin radiator so i can get enough of a hammer swing - and got a size 10 head bolt off with a 6 - thats one buggered bolt
