Hi
First thing to say great site, can see me spending many hours on here.
I have just got a Disco 1 200tdi and have a cupple of questions, First one when the ignition is on there is a gurgling noise from the fuel tank?
second question when you pull away it seams like there is some play some where and the it knocks and then drives fine it sometimes doz it if you are to quick on the gear changes. can anyone help?
 
check prop ujs ,slides and has someone fitted electric pump in the system or tank ,theres an inspection plate under boot carpet,was it originally v8
 
Thanks for the help, I will check the UJ,s this weekend. No I don't think it use to be a V8.
 
I have checked the UJs and all seems ok but i can turn the front prop and it turns in the transfer box and in the front axle, i take it i should not be able to do this. its not a full turn only about an 8th of a turn, does it mean i need a transfer box and front axle? i hope not

It's perfectly normal.
 
TheBigLad you say that this is normal buy this is what is giving me the knocking noise?
