Well good old Dr evil has done me proud and been all the way down to have a look at the landy for me which was a worth while journey as sadly there was to much rust damage to the bulkhead to make it a worthwhile buy and journey, alas the hunt is on again.

Considering i'm new in here, never met anyone yet and only chatted a few times, i must say an, all so timid as it seems, BIG THANKYOU to the offers of help and an especially MASSIVE THANKYOU to Dr evil. Top guy.
Not sure how else i can say it any more strongly.

Well, the hunt is as i said back on, so help me keep an eye open for a nice 90 with a few toys if you come across one.

Back to the internet searches lol.

No problem Jon, anyway to satisfy curiosity and bait Ratty heres some pics of the rotten overpriced 90 and my dinner  and I take offence at being called old :p

Some very dodgy repairs done to the passenger side bulkhead, see if you can spot it, the seller didn't care to mention the holes in the bulkhead, badly repaired footwells, rotten sills, NEW REAR X-MEMBER, or rotten doors! And to top it off the eejit had left the window down overnight so there was a puddle in the passenger footwell…………

There was a distinct lack of service history too, only MOT slips and the odd receipt :scratching_chin:

Anyway to put it plainly the dealers a chancer, he says he's got another guy coming to look at it at some point wanting to trade up from a Jimney but at the price he's asking I don't think anyones going to be dumb enough.

Pile of **** then

Basically yes. I'd offer 1.25k max for it, definitely not work 3 nevermind the original asking price of £4000

Only redeeming features were the fact that it drove nicely and the 200tdi conversion is very tidy but other than that it needs welding and some TLC as you can see in the pics, it wont sell at his asking price or anywhere near

fook me that is pretty crap..proof to show that summit that looks pretty in a picture aint what it seems

haha its very ****, the bulkhead corner started to crumble when i grabbed it, didn't really want to touch the vents but I could see that it wasn't great. I'd say it'd make a nice project but as a drivable vehicle no. Had a month MOT left and I doubt it would have passed another if they hadn't offered a years on it

such a shame you cant trust people to be honest about... a little rust lol.
well worth investing in getting eyes on first.

Good thing you bought me a chippy then ;)

Well i'm looking so point me in the direction of anything you see.. that's good.

It's uch a good help when people can just look at something for you even if only to take pic's of areas of concern for you to view and make up your own mind on.
Great to see that there are helpful people out there like Dr evil. Just saved me a lot of hassle let alone cash.
Eternally grateful for sure.
