Help advise needed.

Some ****ing chaved up peasant racing a Honda in a ducato van has wiped out my o/s wing mirror, and not stopped. The only new complete wing mirror I can get is either 10 or 12 pin type can these be adapted to fit the 6 pin and still work without sending the ecu or dash messages in to raptures, have seen one 6 pin mirror but that was only a fiver less than a nos one I can get and I dont want to pay the same money for an old bit just because of some ****ing chav pillhead. I had a similar issue the other way around. I used a 10 pin to replace my 12 pin, I lost the dimming at night feature.

I would suspect the 6 connections on the car side are blanked off and you will have to do something with the 4/6 pins not used on the replacement mirror connections. Once that is done I don't think you would have any issues.

Been along time since I replaced mine so can't remember 100% what it looked like.

My plug only has six pins and nothing blanked off you could not fit a 12 or 10 pin in it, I just wondered if the wires could be cut or even if the the old harness could be taken out and put into the new wing mirror. I had to loose the wing mirror as the other alternative was those white tubular railings and a ditch. I only hope the C**Ts have an accident between themselves.

Just to reiterate I am not concerned about not having the photo dipping or anything else working as my car does not have these and I dont have the electric seats so no memory, I just want to know if the wires for the heating and electric adjustment are the same colours on all looms because if the are I will by the new 10 or twelve pin mirrors and just connect up the wires I have so keeping the heat and adjustment the dipping and other things do not matter, does anyone have a wiring diag of the the three different types or even just the wire colours. Thanks again.
