Greetings. I've recently bought my first Land Rover: a 2005 Freelander:



Next challenge is learning how to drive off road. I've ridden motorbikes off road for years, but 4 wheels are a different thing altogether.

To be honest, the LR is more for dragging the bikes around the country and in and out of muddy fields rather than actually diving the LR off road. But it'd be good to know all the same

It's a TD4 - is there any other sort?

I be in the Cambridgeshire foothills - user details (and .sig) duly updated.

If I weren't broke after buying it, I'd be asking about lots of nice things to bolt on to it. That'll have to wait a bit though

I would like a Defender, but I don't have the luxury of being able to afford to run two cars.

dont let em shift ur alegiance (if i cud spell it), stick with the freebie me old mate, cos at 40mpg when those discos and defenders are all being left at home thx to alistair darling and the opec fellas, and them bad boyz in the 'real' landys is back driving thier mums Micras we'll still be laffing at em (as long as the AFS and prop dont bust, oh .. and the turbo dont go bollox up, and the tailgate winda, and the door lock etc etc ect) but other than all that we'll be ****ing ourselves all the way to the BP garage .......... me thinks
