Just another newbie joining with some daft questions!
No previous ownership but had a few mates with td5s and freelanders which I've driven and enjoyed (more td5 than fl!) so toying with buying something.
This will be my main and only car so has to be reliable
use will be mainly local commute, tip runs, diving/camping/mountain bikes in back/weekends away with a couple of dogs and the missus, and the occasional week or 2 road trip each year.
So it's getting time for me to replace my current car with something bigger.
My only real needs are:
Height adjustable drivers seat and headroom, im 6'4 tall and struggle for Headroom in most cars
Cavernous boot, don't mind throwing the back seats down, to be honest once they are down, will probably stay down for the remainder of ownership. Looking for something I can throw a couple of big mountain bikes in the back, some camping gear and maybe kip in there myself on the odd occasion. Occasionally a couple of dogs and maybe some dive gear.
Real world average around 30 mpg or better
So with the wish list of if the way, I'm getting on now, over 50 so not really wanting to spend more than an hour a year under the car or under the bonnet, which means I'm looking for something reasonable, not been sea dipped, ideally someone's Chelsea chariot before I get to it.
I've got upto 10k to spend but would prefer 6-8k, looking for something clean and straight, unmodded, upto around 80k and as recent as possible.
Probably looking at fl2 post facelift, but open to other recommendations.
I'm not only looking at landys, but figured this was a decent place to start asking questions and getting some feedback from you all done your living the dream/nightmare (delete as appropriate)
