Hi Just got Myself a landy Freelander TD4 2.0 Diesel a few months ago, 2003 95k On the clock. I Work the previous owner, he did look after is very showroom condition all of the time Fully service and maintained.
Already have problems with it....Great!
Help..
1) First week went to Scoland mountian biking yeah bike rack n all. on the way back about 30 miles form home Plumes of Smoke out the Back.
Turned out to be a 3 inch splin in the top intercooler hose replaced it and also had the 90 degree one done just in case. Fixed
2) Intermittant the TC and the HDC Light come on for about 30 Second then go off after 30 miles or so....... Not fixed this yet.
3) This is a new one when is turn on the blower for the heating I get a vibration rattle from which seems to come from the engine on the drivers side. With the blower on in pretty much any mode and any speed around the 1800 RPM mark. if i rev above or below by 100 rpm or so... the rattle dissapears.
When I hold the reve around 1800 rpm and turn the blower off the vibration rattle dissapers.
The rattle reminds of when I had similar sound with a metal exhaust maifold cover the one of the bolts rusted away caused a similer rattle.
Any idea's On Points 2 & 3 you landy guru's
