Heated Front Screen

Just bought a Disco ES with heated screen.
Does anyone know if the element in the glass affects SatNav signal and more importantly does it affect the use of bluetooth handsfree in anyway?

had a heated screen in my defender and have used satnav,memory map and bluetooth and never had any adverse affects from it

No way..... it's no electromagnetic field emmision there.

Depends on how deep is the satellite buried.......no offence

GPS satellites are in 12,000 mile high orbit, even higher than communications satellites.

my mates girlfriend can send texts to her mates while she is in the bog pretending to take a dump ( She got caught). If the signal can get through a concrete room, a layer of tiles, and 12 floors of a tower block, sat nav should have no probs with a windscreen.

I fear my sarcasm went un-noticed...

The technology is a bit different for mobles, they use a local cell antenna, repeaters and base station with a dish, they don't communicate directly with a satellite only sat phones can do that.
