I am ok, still as fookin hell now tho.

Plus side, The tw@t in the alfa has admitted liability and I got a courtesy car this morning (Ford galaxy as they had no 7 seat 4x4's), and things seem to be going along smoothly.

Going to look at 2 defenders tomorrow.

One was a total bag of ****e, half the exhaust was missing, stank damp, owner with attitude and wanted wayyyyy to much much for it.

Sencond one the jury is out at the moment, interior was great, outside needed bulkhead repair and every panel needed respraying which isn't a problem as what ever we get will end up black. Just depend on rice and if i have enough time to sort it.

.

Anyway to the point, I heard of a guy who had a bang to rights claim against a third party's insurance company after an accident. They never admitted liability (they never do anyway) but they offered him a courtesy car as a gesture of goodwill until his was fixed.

When it came to court because they were refusing to pay his claims for whiplash and a stiff back ect, they pointed out that he accepted the goodwill courtesy car and if his neck/back was so bad how did he manage to drive it?

His calim was substantialy reduced on account of this and it seems is another ploy the insurance companies use to strengthen the case against you when you claim personal injury at a later date.

The other trick which few know about is the removal of cover....and get this..... 'not insured to and from your regular place of work'. Christ, thats what most people buy a car for anyway!

Many insurance companies dropped this on the quiet so check your policies CAREFULLY boys and girls.

Dave

Not had an acessor to look at it yet, went down to get a few things out of it yesterday, to be honest dont thing i will be able to buy it back. body and chassis are fooked, it about 3-4" in on the drivers side where it clouted the tree. as you can see from the photos's the axles had had a bit of a knock.

Will let people know what happens. A few people are after parts :)

According to Clarkson, all Landy drivers are murderers! I'm yet to meet an Alfa owner who was a twot! I've met a lot of them being in the owners club.

Oh, what a give away!
