Hi guys, just bought my first ever Landy...A Freelander XEI....He looks absolutely mint on the outside and seems to have a decent history (fingers crossed). Sitting at 95000 miles on a 54 plate. Anything in particular to look out for? Been told about cylinder heads and cooling systems being rubbish (after I bought it). Drives like a dream at the moment so here's hoping for some happy motoring.

Welcome to LZ, Mate. :)

I believe there are several useful guides to common problems in the Freelander section.

Welcome to LZ mate good tae hae another Falkirk man on the site :D

First thing to check is that the tyres all evenly worn and preferable the same make. Unevenly worn tyres can goose the vcu which in turn will goose the IRD.
