hi all,

So i have just brought a td5 disco and needed to change the fuel pressure regulator. So I was steaming on with the repair and for some reason some one has done the bolts up so bloody tight I couldn't get the bottom one undone. So it looks like someone has had a go and started to round it off.......so has anyone got any tips on removing it?

Kyle

A little penetrating spray is always a good thing.

Are you using a 6 sided socket?

If not try one, as you get better purchase than a 12 sided socket.

If that does not work then maybe an irwin bolt remover may help.

Other than that it is going to get a little more drastic.

Cheers

I've also read somehere that it's possible to get at the bottom bolt through the wheel arch with extentions, but not tried it myself. Worth a look.
