i have some receipt for a "superchip", but unfortunatley no idea who fitted it. I am really pleased with the fuel comsumption as both me and the missus have a lead foot plus we do a lot of driving through town.

I recently had my Superchip reprogrammed by the fitting agent who I tracked down through the original supplying dealer. Also a 2001 DHSE & I think by this time it was standard practice to have them fitted as the performance was a well known issue. So maybe approach the supplying dealer & see if they have a record of who they used, as it is an aftermarket upgrade. The Superchip has a lifetime guarantee against failure . I thought that mine had gone off somehow or that the data file had become corrupted.
The agent (Kershaw's nr York) were fantastic & reworked the whole thing, charging for just an hour labour & after running the car on standard for a week (due to waiting for an ancilliary board) I can tell the difference & it is noticeably improved. Like you Briggsy also changed the MAF & although there is a bit of smoke on hard accleration this is the same whether K&N or standard filtter in. Happy with MPH & MPG & into the carpet all day long!!

what differences have been found with the K+N, if any?
I'm on the standard today & when the K&N is dry I'll refit in a couple or three days & see what I think & post up. ( BTW Pobably won't oil it as this may be detrimental to the MAF that was recently renewed). I remember when first put K&N in( early summer) was a noticeable response on the pedal .
