Mine is on the bumper but it's cracked - I want to put the replacement on the grill to avoid to getting smashed up again in the future. I'm not sure how to mount it, can anyone advie please?

Probably not legally although Mine is a standard number plate below the winch and its at about 45 degrees and cannot be seen clearly from above 4 foot

Wouldn't that affect the air flow to the radiator?

mines held on with 2 cable ties. That way its easy to take off for removal of the grill etc.

My number plate on my previous landy was screwed to the grill with self tappers when I got it. I moved it down to the panel just below the grill and used number plate bolts.

What happens if you have a Winch+Tubular Bumper and no RoofRack - Can you put one of the sticky backed ones on the edge of the bonnet??

I mounted mine using tool clips that clipped to the side winch rollers. When offroading you just unclip it and sling it in the groove on the dash so that it faces out the front window.

Nice piccies Ratty, ya Landy seems more upright than some I've seen posted 'ere abouts!

Cheers:). What do you mean by more upright?

If you look at the side-on pic you can see the clearance issue I have with the rear end. The front end is fine due to HD springs cos of the winch. Hopefully the assister springs will give the rear the lift it requires.

Now I thought that was yours I'd seen in a ditch on a Green lane outing...

Yes I can see it's lower at the back. Yours rides higher than mine anyway at the front. I'm hoping to get the air assisted shockers next week from TerraFirma and I'll be fitting them asap. I'll take loads of pictures a la Buster so you can see if you think they might work for you.

The thing with the rear inner secondary springs is (as far as I know) they only come into play when the main spring is somewhat compressed, so it would still sit down at the back. But me much harder when 'fully' compressed.

:mad:bastid:mad:

Mine rides about 2" higher on the front than my previous 110.

My old 110 sat high on he back and low on the front. This ones arse backwards. getting the extra height gain on the back should make a HUGE difference when in the sticky stuff.

that'd be great if you can take some pics.:) Any chance you can do before and after pics so I can see the difference in ride height?

:D:D Snigger :D:D

Will do on the pctures, mine sits level today , whereas it should be about 1 1/2 inches higher at the back. Me thinks it's had a long towing history, which might explain my gearbox vibration as well in 3rd and 4th.

I'm going to back over the other thread to remind myself which springs you got fitted.

Cheers,

I've got HD's on the front and standard CSW springs on the rear.

CSW springs are softer for a more comfortable ride.:(

How much do you reccon your front winch weighs Ratty? And the pump which under & behind the seats isn't it, resevoir and all?

This one is about 50kg with bumper. It is shaft driven from a pto take off. The shaft is a single straight shaft and goes direct to the pto take off. (I stll haven't got a shaft made for it yet:eek:). The leccy one that I had on previously was about 40kg with bumper. Thats currently in the back.
