YRM do a zinc plated mild steel b post for £70. Prolly an easy swop out. Likely yours is mild steel, stick a magnet to it, then weld up.

Part of the tub and alloy. Some have bolted/riveted a plate on top and fixed striker to it with fewer spacers.
