The look I like. Maybe not with modulars though. I give you an old 50p and a mars bar for your car

I just don't see the attraction with mods, each to there own and all that. And I don't have a freelander to be clean ;)

well, it looks like that noise we picked up on our trip aint going to break the bank, so SES88, do you take paypal?

as I only just fitted new AT tyres all round a few months back, I'd just add the spacers for now, and look at different sized tyres later down the line, but that would still increase the ride height a little wouldn't it?

fingers crossed a binding front ns calliper, Ive just removed it and it was well gunged up with mud and crud and rust, in fact, enough mud to make a flower bed up,lol
a quick strip down (I know naff all bout mechanics) sprayed some WD40 and copper grease certain bits, got it moving as it should do, the pads need replacing asap, but the wheel wont spin freely like they do on 2wd cars, is that because of the vcu?
anyhow, it started pee'ing it down so its all back together, I've sorced a new calliper if I need to replace the whole thing, at £40, so new pads say another £40? if it works I'll be a happy bunny, as my local LR garage quoted £320 yesterday

I'll pm you the paypal address, kits are half way to being ready, all tacked up, just need to finish welding them this week then they're off to the platers, be ready sometime during w/c 17th.

Essexpestcontrol, if I were you mate I,d stick to the Freelander!! Todays motoring page of a well known national newspaper gives the following facts, Land Rover Defenders have the worst first time MOT fail rate than any other 4x4, 74.5% followed by the BMW X5 78.8%, Volvo XC90. 75%. Land Rover RANGE ROVER 82.2%, Ford Kuga 82.2%. Christ! buy a Range Rover that cost as much as my house and it fails its first MOT!!! pass me the bottle quick! On the other hand, Best five are, Honda CRV 89.8% pass rate, Audi Q5 89.3% Land Rover FREELANDER 88.8%, BMW X1 88%, Skoda Yeti 87.9%, so there you have it mate, conclusive proof that the Freelander is right up there amongst the top dogs!! and you can toss your Range Rovers which are more expensive and better equipped than my house into the friggin bin!

is that new defenders or the 10 - 30 year old vehicles most defender owners drive, though you dont see many other makes still on the road

Hi jamesmartin, its talking about new vehicles mate, my Freelander was born in 2003 and has 60,000 on the clock so you can imagine the work Ive had to put into it at times, having said that its never let me down really, nice to know that that Freelander lovers have got something to crow about over our supposed big brothers!!

Just to say that what really annoys me is that the people who can afford to pay 30,- 50 odd grand for a new motor really want something that not only looks the business, does the business but passes its bloody MOT at the first try!!

when I brought this one they gave me a guarantee that is would pass the next MOT that was last year and it makes me think what did it pas that it should not have done . I suppose I will find out tomorrow as it goes in for its mot again
